BLAQUE/OUT TDOR INITIATIVES
Introducing T.R.A.I.I. (try)
The T.R.A.I.I. (try) is a free, public tool designed to illuminate the ongoing crisis of violence against Trans, Nonbinary, Gender Expansive, and Gender Nonconforming people in the United States.
Using data collected from every known case of a Trans/NB/GE/GNC person murdered in the U.S. since 2018, T.R.A.I.I. employs geo-spatial technology to map these tragedies across the country. Users can layer the maps with socio-economic factors, years, addresses, states, or gender identities, creating a powerful visual representation of systemic violence and its intersections.
T.R.A.I.I. is more than a data tool—it’s a resource for education, advocacy, and accountability.
Community members can use it to raise awareness and foster understanding.
Media professionals can reference it for accurate, respectful reporting.
Agencies and organizations can leverage it to secure funding and support.
Law enforcement and policymakers can identify patterns and develop informed responses.
Travelers and individuals can use it to stay informed about safety and visibility across regions.
T.R.A.I.I. transforms data into action, empowering everyone to see, understand, and confront the realities faced by the Trans community.
